Intinerary

Day 1:    ARRIVE BATTAMBANG

Today you will depart Siem Reap and head to the Northwest of Cambodia. The three hour drive to Battambang takes in some of Cambodia’s prettiest landscapes. Battambang is Cambodia’s second most populated city after the capital Phnom Penh, situated on the banks of the Stung Sangke this vibrant and bohemian city is full of charm. This afternoon you will enjoy a relaxed riverside walk where you will see some of the most impressive colonial architecture in Cambodia, you will also visit the local market situated in the heart of the city. This afternoon you will visit the Battambang Museum.

Day 2    BATTAMBANG TOURING​

This morning take a short drive to the ancient temple of Ek Phnom, stop a local rice paper making village along the way for a glimpse of daily life. Ek Phnom is a partly collapsed 11th Century temple and features some impressive and intricate carvings. A short drive will then take you to Phnom Sampeau where halfway to the summit you will visit the Killing Caves of Phnom Sampow. This site was used a killing ground during the Khmer Rouge regime. Continue to the summit which is now home to an impressive modern day pagoda, take in the breathtaking views of rural Cambodia. You will then continue to Sampow Mountain, where you’ll visit the Bat Cave. After hiking to the top of the mountain, take in the stunning views and prepare to watch thousands of bats fly out of the cave at sunset – a truly unforgettable sight!

Day 3    DEPART BATTAMBANG

This morning you will depart Battambang for the drive back to Siem Reap. You will stop at the Artisan d’Angkor silk farm, where you will see how silk is both produced and woven into traditional Khmer fabrics. Return to your hotel mid-afternoon.
